Old Skool Vans White and Black

29829417_2029274043833107_815452277_oI bought these shoes on the 2nd of January 2017. I bought them in JD sports in Blanchardstown, as I was there for the January sales. While I was in JD I saw they were ‘New’ in the store. They were literally being put up on the shelves as I walked into the store.

The design and the mixture of colours caught my eye. I decided to buy them as I never owned a pair of vans before and plus my other black shoes were on their way out. I got them before they came into style in Ireland. About 2-3 months later they came into style in Ireland and blew up. Nearly everyone in their teens owned or own a pair. I was glad I got them before they came into style as I wouldn’t be wearing the same shoes as everyone else.

These men’s Old Skool trainers from Vans introduced the world to the iconic side stripe. They instantly got recognised, with the iconic stripe. This lets everyone know you’re rocking the legendary skate company.

These classic kicks have experienced decade after decade, due to them being long lasting and having great comfort. The canvas upper delivers lightweight wear, while a padded ankle collar keeps the foot feeling fresh. It features Van’s signature waffle outsole for a firmer grip. Its then finished off with the classic Off The Wall tab to the heels.

I’ve been through two pairs of these as I used to constantly wear them, and still do. They are very comfy, last lasting and basically go with everything.

Nike Sock Dart Black

29829179_2028120177281827_235705762_oI got these shoes on the 12th of June 2017. On my way home from an exam in The Leaving Certificate,  I was having a look for shoes on the website called Footasylum. These shoes caught my eye as they were around 60% off. They were €40 down from €120. I showed my friend the shoes and he liked them too. We then decided we would both buy them. I think its crazy that both pairs were cheaper than one pair of the original price. Only UK size 12 was left however me and my friend are a size 12 so it was just our luck.

The Nike Sock Dart was originally released in 2004. They were one of the first shoes to feature knit uppers. The Nike sock dart then returned again in fragment design collaboration releases. In 2015 Nike then began releasing in general colorways. General colourways most not of been enough for this shoe so Nike then made NIKEiD available for the Nike Sock Dart on the 2nd of June 2016.

While wearing these shoes my friends call them “The Duck Shoes” as most of my friends think they look like ducks. I can see where they are coming from however I personally don’t care, as they are so comfy and I like the unique design.

Adidas Originals Hamburg Exclusive

29829862_2027682280658950_1880683602_oI got these shoes on 29th of November 2016. I got them while I was away on a Business studies trip. During the trip, I snuck away to the shoe shop called Office Holdings. I was looking to get these shoes everywhere and I couldn’t. Barely any shops in Europe had the Shadow Blue Lush Blue colour. That was the colour I wanted. At the time of when I bought them, Office was the only shop that had them, so I wasn’t going to miss any opportunity I had in getting them. I bought them for €105.

The Hamburg is one of Adidas’ most revered products with its clean styling and classic silhouette. The original Hamburg training shoes came on the scene in early 1982 as part of the now-legendary City Series. The Hamburg features a mix of leather and suede uppers with three stripe detail and branded heel tab. The shoe is finished with a black rubber sole, this keeps the same look and feel as the original. It’s finished off with the gold branded accents on the tongue and side panel, and also the classic Adidas 3 stripes.

To me, these shoes are just in a different class compared to other Adidas Original shoes. The colour and design just go hand in hand. This for me makes it a classic and a shoe that is hard to replace.

Nike Cortez Leather White

CortezI got these shoes on the 25th of December 2016. (Christmas) I got them as a Christmas present off my mam. She ha seen I was eyeing up these shoes for a while. I was just about to buy them the week before Christmas, however, I was €5 short so I could not get them. What I love about them is that they are simple and plain and go with everything.

This shoe is an updated version of Bill Bowerman’s 1972 running classic. These men’s Cortez Leather shoes keep a legend alive, with a full-grain leather upper for durable wear and a premium look. It features a heel that’s slightly wider and higher than the original, plus a silver lace dubrae and modified design lines. It’s finished off with the iconic Swoosh to the sides. Nike says to “step up your off-duty footwear game with the shoe that started it all.”

They are very durable and have a very clean and fresh look. This is why they are classics and will remain classics.

Adidas Dragon OG Red

I bought these shoes on 26th of December 2017. Also known as “St. Stephen’s Day” or “Boxing day.” I was in the Jervis Shopping center in Dublin as I go up to Dublin each St. Stephens day for the sales. Most people don’t know that the winter sale starts on St Stephen’s Day. I love going up as I get lots of shoes and clothes on sale.

As I was in Jervis Shopping Center and I went into JD Sports and found these, on the floor. The shop was filled with people running everywhere, all looking to get the best bargain. I picked the shoes up and seen that they were in my size. I then looked at the price and seen that they were only €25. They are usually around €100. I was so surprised.

I then went to the line to pay. When I made it to the till after waiting half an hour in the line the cashier told me that there was a size 11 and size 12 in the box, so because of that she couldn’t sell me the shoes, however, she asked for another worker to go look for the other size 12. It took another 30 minutes to find the other size 12. When it was found I was able to skip the line to the till and pay, as I waiting for so long. I was fairly frustrated about how long I had to wait, however the minute I bought the shoes and that they were in my bag all that frustration went away.

This shoe is a footwear favourite ever since it stepped onto the scene in the 70s. They started out life as a running shoe. Adidas’s revamp of this shoe optimises the Dragon’s classic features, with a breathable air mesh upper for coolness and allows your feet to breath, while suede overlays bring a premium look and style. The rubber outsole on the shoe delivers grip wherever you go but it’s also a way to rep it’s running heritage. The shoes are then complete with the classic Adidas 3 stripes and then the gold Dragon wordmark on the sides.

These shoes have a retro look however they are very slick, in style and are still very fresh.

Nike Air Force 1 ’07 ‘NBA’

ye

These shoes are my most recent purchase of shoes. I bought them on the 19th of February 2018, as I got an email of JD that they went on sale. I went to the app and bought them straight. Those of you that know about this shoe will know that they are not that common and that they are next to never on sale. I bought them for €40 down from €100. I just think it was my luck of me being a UK 12 in shoes that they had my size.

Nike says that this Air Force 1 NBA sneakers are essential weekend wear. They are crafted with a fresh white leather upper. The shoes feature a lace up fastening and classic Air Force detailing, including signature toe perforations. It also has (like most Nike shoes) Nike’s iconic swoosh. It was engineered with Nike’s revolutionary, encapsulated Air Unit for maximum cushioning and also has a textured rubber sole. This is for when you step out on the streets and that you are ready to ball but you are still comfy and look fresh.

Nike’s Air Force One shoe was named after the Air Force One, which is the aircraft that carries the U.S. President. In 1982, it was the first basketball shoe to house Nike Air, revolutionizing the game while rapidly gaining traction around the world. “From the hardwood to the blacktop, to the core of hip-hop culture.”

Nowadays Air Force One’s are seen as an icon by all sneaker-heads. If you are curious about what shoes to get next, take a look at these you won’t be disappointed.
